Let’s begin today’s teaching with our foundational text for the series. Proverbs 6:2 says, you are trapped by the words of your mouth: you are ensnared by the words of your mouth.
1) Words are the Most Powerful Thing in the Universe.
Remember in Mark 11:23 Jesus said, For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening; he shall have whatever he says (World English Bible).
2) God Never does Anything without Saying it First.
Remember Genesis 1:3 says, And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light (World English Bible). Jesus utilized this principle while he was on Earth. He spoke to the wind, sea, demons, dead men and a tree.
3) Imitate God as Children Imitate their Parents.
Ephesians 5:1 reads, Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children (World English Bible). And Mark 11:22 reads, Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God (World English Bible). The literal translation of Mark 11:22 is “Have faith of God.”
4) If God Spoke Faith Filled Words, You can too.
John 14:12 says, Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.
You can Have what You Say! So, watch your mouth. And Speak Faith Filled Words.
