The key to personal growth is meditation upon God’s Word. Jesus said that man should not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God (Matt. 4:4). If you want to grow physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally and financially you must meditate upon the scriptures relevant to your needs. You may not see the growth instantly. But if you keep with it personal growth and change are inevitable.
The Hebrew word for meditation comes from the word hagah which means to mutter. Speaking God’s word has an impact that reading it alone can never have. Reading the word uses our eyes. But speaking the word uses our eyes, mouth, and ears. By using your mouth to speak God’s Word aloud, God’s word will get into your subconscious quicker. The Bible says, So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).
Jesus said, we can have whatever we say (Mark 11:23). And the Bible says, to be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). In order to change your future, you must be willing and able to change your subconscious mind. But, you cannot change by fighting the existing realities. You have to build a new reality in your mind in order to change the old reality.
An illusion is something that is wrongly perceived by your senses. Wrong beliefs that we have inherited or learned. These beliefs keep us from going after what we really want. Ask yourself what do you want? We are programmed to go after what is predictable because what we really want is impossible. Again, unless you change your belief to the one that says you can create your own reality.
By not defining your goals in order to create the life you want, there is a great chance you will never get what you want. But, we usually do what we are capable of doing. But really there is no inspiration in living this way. You should go after what you want. Because this is where your heart’s desire really is. And you will find inspiration in that goal. What you want is waiting for you. You need to name it, claim it, and do it. Remember, define your goals, create a new reality in your mind, and do it. And do it consistently!
We never like to close our program without giving you the opportunity to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Would you pray with me. Say, Lord Jesus I repent of my sins, come into my heart, I make you my Savior and Lord. Friends, if you prayed that prayer, I believe you got Born Again. Keep God first place in your life. I believe He’s going to do more for you than you can ask or think.
I hope you believed on Jesus today! Remember, evangelize, disciple, and encourage. So, the world will know Jesus. And don’t forget to share this podcast with others. This is Robert Welsh for blogwithjesus.com. I will see you on the next podcast. Blessings!
