Let’s begin today with our foundational texts for this series. Genesis 1:3 says, And God said, let there be light and there was light. And Proverbs 18:21 says, Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

1) Our Words have Power.
The words that we speak from God’s word that are said with faith are the most powerful. Isaiah 55:11 says, So is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do. I recently heard a story about a gentleman, when he was 22 years old he decided he wanted to be in real estate. He started to tell everybody that he was in real estate. And by age 42 he had acquired 168 units of property. I want to submit to you that happened because of the things that he spoke.
2) Our Words have Impotence.
What I mean by this is if you’re speaking words of doubt, fear and wickedness, nothing good can come from this. If you speak things that are negative you’re only going to get negative things. When we look back at that gentleman who acquired all that real estate, when he was 22 years old he said, “I am not a public speaker.” And guess what by age 42 he had never publicly spoken. I want to submit to you that happened because of the things that he spoke.
3) Understand Points 1 and 2.
Because speaking negative will cause negative things to happen to you. But speaking positive will release the ability of God to work on your behalf. Because that same individual that had not spoken ever publicly until age 42 was asked would he like to share his real estate knowledge with others, to help others create that kind of lifestyle. He said. “yes.” And before you know it he was public speaking. Once again I want to submit to you, this happened because he agreed to do it. He said, “sure, i’ll share my knowledge.” And then he was a public speaker. Please don’t miss any podcast in this series. Next week we’re going to be talking about why positive speech is so important.
We never like to close our program without giving you the opportunity to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Would you pray with me? Say, Lord Jesus I repent of my sins, come into my heart, I make you my Savior and Lord. Friends, if you prayed that prayer, I believe you got Born Again. Keep God first place in your life. I believe He’s going to take you further than you ever dreamed.
I hope you believed on Jesus today! Remember, evangelize, disciple and encourage. So, the world will know Jesus. And don’t forget to share this podcast with others. This is Robert Welsh for blogwithjesus.com. I will see you on the next podcast. Blessings!
