Let’s begin today in Genesis 1:1-3; In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth. 2 And the Earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, let there be light and there was light.
1) Notice that nothing happened until God said.
Now we are not God but I words do have power, more power than we know or think. Because we are made in His image and likeness (Gen 1:27). You heard the saying: “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. But words can hurt you. Remember a time when someone close to you said something that hurt. So this is an untrue statement. Words can hurt you. So, we need to watch the things that we say. Because words can bring happiness, sadness, Faith or fear. And all other positive or negative feeling you can think of.
2) Something will happen when you say.
Have you ever had a parent, teacher or coach give you words of encouragement or words of disgust. It made you feel a certain way. It may have inspired you or discouraged you. See our words have power.
3) Something will happen if you do not grasp these first two principles.
Because the Bible says, Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Proverbs 18:21). So, don’t be ignorant take the time to understand the power of your tongue. In the series we will learn how to change our lives with the power of our words. So, don’t miss any of the podcasts.
