JOY comes in the MORNING

I remember in 1999, I was struggling in Bible College and in Life. Looking back, I believe this was an attack of the enemy. My wife told me to call her coworkers’ wife; she was a pastor. When speaking to me, she said, “go to sleep you will have your answer in the morning.” I was thinking, this is a really big problem and you’re telling me to go to sleep. The next morning,I found a package behind my door. When I opened it, it was the last paper I had written for Bible College. I received an A- on the paper and a B for the overall class grade. This was enough to encourage me to continue to fight “the good fight of faith.” It reminds me of Psalm 30:5, Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning (World English Bible).

I noticed recently that it is better to just call it a day and go to sleep, instead of trying to stay up to complete the work or solve the problem. I have a much better perspective after a good night’s sleep.
